SyncWave ("the app", "we") is built around a simple principle: your media is yours. Everything you cast or mirror streams directly from your device to your TV over your own local network. Your videos, photos, music and screen content are never uploaded to, stored on, or visible to our servers.

Information the app uses on your device

• Local network access — to discover TVs and streaming devices on your Wi-Fi (Chromecast, AirPlay, DLNA) and to stream to them. Discovery traffic stays on your network.
• Photos, media and files (with your permission) — only when you choose something to cast. The app reads the items you pick; it does not scan or index your library in the background.
• Screen recording (with your permission) — only while you actively mirror your screen, using the operating system's standard capture consent. Mirroring stops the moment you end it, and no recording is saved.

Information we collect

• Crash and diagnostics data — basic, anonymised technical reports (device model, OS version, error traces) to keep the app stable.

Crash reports are sent to our own server and are not shared with any third-party analytics or advertising service. They contain no account details and nothing that identifies you personally.

No ads, no accounts, no tracking

SyncWave does not show advertising, does not use an advertising identifier, and does not require an account to use. There is no third-party analytics or tracking SDK in the app.

What we never collect

• The content you cast or mirror — it never leaves your network.
• Your contacts, messages, location, or browsing history.
• Anything sold to data brokers. We do not sell personal data.

Data retention & your rights

Diagnostics are retained only as long as needed to maintain app quality. Depending on where you live (including under the Australian Privacy Act and the GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information — contact us and we will help.

Children

SyncWave is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
